The Color Purple
The Color Purple is a musical based on Alice Walker’s acclaimed 1982 novel with the same name. The play tells the story of Celie, an African-American woman living in the South from the early to mid-20th century. In Transit
In Transit is the first a cappella musical on Broadway. The book, music, and lyrics were written by Academy Award winner Kristen Anderson-Lopez, James-Allen Ford, Russ Kaplan, and Sara Wordsworth. The musical is directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall, a three-time Tony Award winner. The play tells the intertwining stories of 11 New Yorkers as they ride the subway through the city.
