After this month’s tragic shooting at Pulse, an iconic gay nightclub in Orlando, some of the biggest stars on Broadway came together to show their support for the victims, their families, and the gay community. Calling themselves Broadway for Orlando, the group of over 50 stars of the stage and screen have come together to release a new version of Jackie DeShannon’s 1965 hit “What the World Needs Now Is Love,” available today for download online.
The track can be purchased for $1.99 at the Broadway Records website; all proceeds go to the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida.
